Edited by Alexandra Cheira, Wonder Tales in the Fiction of A. S. Byatt is composed seven essays penned different distinguished scholars focusing on Byatt’s wonder tales covering both single and embedded ones. Cheira elucidates that choice term “wonder tale” to “fairy based Marina Warner’s assertion fairy entities are absent this type tales, instead there presence wondrous elements (xv). The introduction book delineates within her fiction as an exclusive critical study has been a highly neglected research area despite several excellent monographs entire solely focuses tales. Moreover, asserts also scrutinizes claim “modern literary stories” they consciously play with “postmodern creation recreation old forms.”
